| Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to introduce view_control system in U.S.A. so that it is to provide resonable and applicable control method tor Korean cities on the basis of urban a esthetic considerations. The view_control system in U.S.A. can classified 3 types, such as "Monument_type", "Natura1_Iandscape type", ",Urban_corridor type" Through a detail examination and review of each cases based on 3 types, several characteries are extracted into view_control strategies as followings: 1)America has a long history to protect view of monumental buildings since late 19 centuries. 2)Each type has their own characteries in control system depends on each municipal's situations. For example Denver city is concentrated on vista to Rocky mountains and Austin city has view ordinance related to capitol building and country roadway. 3)The management system also has differences between Denver and Austin. In case of Denver, building inspection division review projects as a building permission procedure. On the other hand, Austin case is quite overlaid to zoning system, which means revieweing project is done by dept. of urban planning as a process of development review. |
