Title Structural Performance of Preflex Beam using 3-Piece Prefabrication Method

Abstract For the preflex beam, construction of more long span building or bridge and shortening of a period of field works have been demanded. The S-Piece Prefabrication Method of preflex beam suggested in this study, is one of the methods developed to satisfy these demands. The objective of this study is to compare the behaviors of S_piece prefabricated preflex beam with conventional preflex beams under monotonic Ioad and to insure applicability of S piece prefabricated preflex beam based on the test results. For these, three test specimens with 5.7m span were experimented under monotonic Ioad to failure. From the comparison of test results on the prefabricated preflex beams and the conventional preflex beams, it is proved that the 3_Piece Prefabrication Method is applicable to the 1ong span preflex beams.
