Title Development of Grout-Filled Splice Sleeve System and Estimation of its Mechanical Performance under Monotonic Loading

Abstract Recently, the grout-fiIIed splice sleeve system has a tendency to be used frequently due to its superior construction efficiency, such as unnecessity of posttast concrete, Iarge allowable limit to arrangement of reinforcing bars. The purgose of this study is to deve1op the grout-filled splice sleeve system and estimate its mechanical peHormance by monotonic loading test. The experimental variables adopted in this study are deveIopment length of reinforcing bars, kinds of grout mortar and types of splice sleeve. Fallowing main conclusions are obtained (1) The developed splice sleeve system retains the same level of mechanical performance, such as stiffness, strength, slip, ductility, compared to foreign-producted splice sleeve system. (2) The mechanical performance of deveIoped srlice sleeve system is improved with increase in development length of reinforcing bars and compressive stength of grout.
