Title |
An Experimental Study on the Material Properties of the Artificial Stone Curbs |
Abstract |
This paper shows the experiments of material strength, chemical durability, and freezing and thawing of artificial stone curbs that are made of concrete and artificial granite. The purpose of experiments is to verify properties of artificial stone curbs to evaluate possibilities of substitution for commonly used granite curbs The results of these experiments are as follows; Material properties of artificial stone curbs are superior to nonnal properties of concrete curbs; In erosion in the Na2SO4 and CaC2, separation and color change did not occur on the base and facing layers and joints of concrete and artificial stone. These results show that artificial stone curbs have superior material properties as well as esthetic exteriur surface. Thus. It is considered that artificial stone curbs can be broadly used in construction without any envirunmental damage |
