A Study on the Plasticity of Glass in High-Tech Architecture |
| Abstract |
High-Tech Architecture is the combination of art and technology. Its chatacteristic is to express new esthetics, taking advantage of structure, facilities and materials. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to reseatch the plasticity of facilities and structural details in high-tech architecture, based on the transparency of glass. First of all, external plasticity is reseatched, composed of facilities such as pent roof, blind and doubleskin. And, it is also rearstched how the detail of technical joint by the combination of glass film and structure influence on the external form of high-tech architecture. Finally, it is intended to find out the feasibility of new design and technical creation by means of comparing with external plasticity in particular high-tech architecture of each nation. |
