This paper is a study result in the procedure of seeking the factors, related the visual perference tendency with the composed type or building on the street as urbanscape. The relationship between this rendency and the planning factors or concepts of the architectural design, is analysed as follows. 1) People's congnitive chatacters for form-perceptual factors are investigated as follows: first factors: the figure, outline of congregated buildings, and the height, width, scale, space of theirs, the second: materials, colors, patterns of the surface, and the third: sign-boards, windows and details, etc. 2) Decisive influent factors of the visual preference is investigated in concepts of architectural design: novelty, order, interesting. The varied scale of buildings is closely related with it. Especially the color, length-change, and elevation pattern, and the their congregated figure and mass-outline also do. 3) Physical chatacteristics of buildings, is offered by 'clear' and 'legible' image , because they are recognized as thier continuty with specific and formal characteristics recognized separately. And the urbanscape in the conceptural attribute: 'variety' and 'novelty' can be pregered. Thus planning ans desining buildings in the street forward, the varied figure if congregated buildings, and the moderate combination of the mass composition type, should be considered with surroundings. Also people need to feel the visual interesting, as enriching the relationship between part and whole through the regularly changed color, elevation and windows type of buildings. |
