Abstract The selection of equipment system should be a compromise between performance and economics. Factors to consider are the user's requirements, the designer's experience, local building codes, initial cost, energy efficiency and projected operating costs. Any of these factors can 리tar the choice of equipment system in building. Therefore, to suggest an economic cooling equipment system in office building, this study investigated the energy consumption of equipment by the method of full load equivalent hour, analyzed the total cost of 4 alternatives for cooling system using Life Cycle Costing in Seoul and Pusan. From Life Cycle Costing(Life Cycle:15 years) resulted by Present Worth Method, an economic cooling equipment system is the third alternative (Absorption chiller system 60%+lce storage system 40%).
