A Study on the Preference for the Model Steel Framed House Planning |
| Abstract |
In line with the wordwide trend toward the protection of natural environment and economic concerns, the steel framed house is suggested for the next industrialized generation. In Korea, POSCO has concstructed the model steel house to assess the marketablulity of steel framed house in Korea. We investigate visitor's preference for the housing planning to compile people's needs and degree of satisfaction about Model Steel House by questionnaire. The goal of this study is to collect the basic data required to develop Steel House's plan suitable to Korean lifepattern and housing needs. Our analysis reveals that visitor's needs for the adjustment of plan are concentrated on master's space, housekeeping area(kitchen, utility and laundry room) ,living room and finally bedrooms We conclude that to settle Steel House as a future housing prototype in Korea, it has to reflect Korean lifestyle positively |
