Abstract This field study a qualitative study has a purpose to search for an architecture for user's culture of Korean-American Main method is participant observation and ethnographic interview. Korean immigrants move to a site for safety from crime and child's education and move from an apartment in city to house at suburb at the same value of American middle class. However they build up their own culture: American 'living room for guest' and regular 'dining room' is not used by the reason of practicality against formality of American middle class. At the same way, they enter into a house through a garage to kitchen instead of front entrance porch. Custom of barefoot living and sitting on the floor, and preparing and reserving traditional food like kimchi make different usage from the original design
