A Study on the Architectural Drawing Titles of the Chosun Dynasty : Attaching importance to drawing of Yonggondogam and Sannungdogam : Uuigue |
| Abstract |
The purpose of this paper is to clarify the architectural drawing titles, which have been discovered old traditional drawings in Yonggondogam-Uuigue and Sannungdogam-Uuigue. They were the construction documents of government based on the building projects in the late Chosun Dynasty. This study takes three steps to carry out analyzing Doseol's titles(圖說名稱) and their drawing categories. First, to be classified several prototypes of them, and then, to inquire into the changing process of the drawing titles in those official books. Lastly, to examine the background of drawing titles'generation, application and standardization in the construction process of that era. The summary is that, the drawing application in those books was originated in early 17's century, became settlement and standardization of their plans with drawing titles through middle 18's ∼ late 19's century, so called Youngjeongcho's Period of a Korean renaissance |
