Title Analysis of Thermal Comfort and Air Change Effectiveness in Desk-top Personal Environment Module System

Abstract As a kind of desk-top air-conditioning system, there is the Personal Environments(PEM) System. The PEM system allows the occupant to choose the desired temperature, air volume and direction of the discharged air. The measurements on the thermal conmfort the alee of air and the air change effectiveness ate carried out to analyze the ventilation performance for provision of fresh air near the breathing zone by PEM. The relation between the PEM (or optimal control and other factors related to thermal comfort and ventilation is examined. Also, the evaluation of the air change effectiveness of PEM is examined, and the energy saving effect by user based control & occupancy control is evaluated in the Intelligent Building.
