A Study on the Prediction of Vertical Vibration Level for Reinforced Concrete Building |
Abstract |
This is a study on the prediction of vertical vibration level by analysis before a building structure is constructed. Train-induced vibration was chosen as the source of traffic vibration and experimental measurement was performed on the building near railway. In order to show application of the prediction method, experimental result is compared with analysis. Acceleration responses from ground and first floor are used as input forces of the analysis. The target building is modelled with and without foundation. Comparisons and analyses of analytical and experimental responses show that two results are slightly different from each other in vibration level, but very similar on the whole. Consequently, prediction method of vertical vibration level is suggested. |
