A Study on the Structural Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Buildings Considering the Construction Sequence |
Abstract |
In the case of commercially available structural analysis programs of high-rise buildings, every load is assumed to be applied simultaneously after the completion of the whole structure. The real building, however, is constructed and loaded story by story. Even if one considers the construction sequence and long term behavior, the results of structural anlaysis of a high-rise R.C building are much dependent on the predictive models for creep and shrinkage. Here in this paper, a 20-story R.C building is assumed to be completed as a 3-story construction unit. For the predictions of creep and shrinkage strain, expressions which are proposed by ACI, CEB-FIP(1990) and B3 model we used. This results is shown to be in reasonable agreement with analysis results that consider restraints caused by frame action. |
