A Fundamental Study on the CIBS Model for the Intergration of the Construction Information |
| Abstract |
The smooth exchange of information between unit works and the communication between workers are difficult in each phase of construction since the forms and matters of produced information are significantly different each other. And the failure in accumulation and proper use of past experiences may cause economic and time losses in the end. To fill the gap between the information produced in each construction phase, a CIBS(Construction Information Breakdown Structure) model provides a concept to integrate efficiently construction information spread over the diverse construction phases. This paper also suggests a new breakdown structure, EBS(Element Breakdown Structure) to support the CIBS model |
