Abstract |
The effective width of SRC column-steel beam joint is major factor to determine the joint strength. The objective of this paper is to investigate factors influencing the effective width of joint resisting the moment as compression strut. The factors are beam flange width(bf), beam depth(d) and SRC column width(bC). Six specimens with different bf/bC and d/bf are tested. Test result indicates that the joint shear strength is increased as bf/bC or d/bf are lower. Therefore, this result need to be reflected on the formulas of ASCE and AIJ to predict the strength of SRC column-steel beam joint. |
