| Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to provide the orientation of the urban renewal project for old CBD in Ulsan city.
For this study, questionnaires are distributed and analyzed with respect to the residents' housing satisfaction and recognitions of the renewal project, etc.
The major findings are summarized as follows.
1) Traffic environments and building conditions showed a negative response.
2) The common demand was in favor of the renewal project, including the traffic facilities, resting spaces, and comfortable living environments.
3) The construction of BunYoung-Ro through the old urban area has not contributed the recovery of commercial activities. Elsewhere, the respondents prefered the improvement of the traffic systems for the stronger traffic inflows. |
