| Abstract |
This study is based on defining and establishing concept of pre-design service in Korea. Pre-design service may include feasibility study, master and long range planning, various types of design research, and organizational development exercises. Due to social and economical changes in construction industry, demands for pre-design service is growing rapidly in Korea. But concept of pre-design service is yet unclear and very ambiguous. Scope and contents of pre-design service is not well defined and role of pre-design service is not clearly recognized. The purpose of this study is to define concept of pre-design service which includes definition·scope of work·contents and relation with the designing process. The results of this study are as follows, To find difference between theoretical and practical use of terminology, analyzed previous researches. Proposed concept of pre-design service based on relation with the design process and concept used in practical practice. |
