Abstract This study deals with the effect on performance of water based epoxy resin mortar mixed special cement using for surface control to protect the aging of concrete reservoir from the attack of chemical component contained in water.
The tests of in this study are the adhesive strength between substrate and epoxy resin mortar under the wet environment of concrete substrate surface, friction resistance, bent and compressive strength, chemical resistance and drinking water elution.
As the result of study, character of water based epoxy resin mortar are the follows;
1) The adhesive strength was about 30kgf/㎠ under dry condition, and was about 28∼31kgf/㎠ under the wet condition in age of 28days.
2) The friction weight reduced about 0.01g per one time.
3) The bent strength was each about 18∼23kgf/㎠ and the compressive strength was about 146∼178kgf/㎠ in age of 28days.
4) The chemical corrosion was not occurred after chemical water deposition.
5) The result of drinking water elution test was no problem for all items.
So, this study can propose the physical character and quality control method of water based epoxy resin mortar for surface treatment of concrete reservoir.
