Abstract |
Through the analysis of implementation status of ISO 9000 quality system at construction sites, this research drove the system requirements and developed an integrated quality information management system. The quality information management model was developed in a way not only to collect and manage site information but also to incorporate the standard quality information into project-specific information for easy reuse. Work-breakdown structure was used to keep the association of standard and project-specific databases for reuse. In addition, this enables to feed collected information back to the corporate knowledge database, which in turn can be incorporated into the standard quality information database. The developed system in this research utilizes the multimedia technology such as text, image, and video to minimize the difficulties and ambiguities in the presentation of construction site information. Besides, the collection of quality information at construction sites in the system includes lessons-learned, experiences, knowledge and know-hows as well as non-conforming items in which the ISO 9000 system has major interest. As a result, the developed system has the following major functions such as ①Capturing and Sharing of Quality Information, ② Feedback to corporate knowledgeDB, ③ reusability of the Standard Quality Information, and these would improve the productivity of quality management tasks. |
