Abstract |
Long-term behavior of concrete structures, significantly different from the elastic behavior of those structures, should be considered in the design and the actual construction of high rise reinforced concrete buildings. To this date, however, most of the analytical studies on this subject can not be applied directly to the structural design and the construction of the R.C buildings. Also, experimental studies considering typical construction sequence have not been carried out yet. To examine axial force variation among the reinforced concrete columns and shores, the experiment frame was made in accordance with the general construction sequence; the placement of concrete, form removal, reshoring, shore removal, and the additional load application. Test result showed that the time dependent axial forces of shores were reduced with increasing time, and the deformations of columns were occurred before the removal of shores. The redistribution of axial force of columns and shores was observed in test. Long-term test results were compared with those of the previous numerical method, |
