Abstract This study is for comparing and analyzing the concepts of prospect of F.L.Wright and Le Corbusier and it aims at affording theoretical basis for searching reciprocal complements between them. The characteristics of their concepts of prospect are completely different according to the interpretation of relationship between objects and subjects ; land and building, nature and self, people and self, as one unity or two different things. This thesis can be summarized as follows;
1) In the composition of the basic form for the prospect, Wright used 'box breaking' technique in regard of the building and the land as one unity on the basis of organic idea of monism : Le Corbusier presented the pictorial sense of dialectic through separating building from the land as 'object and background' on the basis of rational idea of dualism.
2) In the concept of exterior prospect, Wright's works have the space for refuge with prospect in the view of closer range : Le Corbusier's works obtain the pictorial prospect in a distant view through framing.
3) In the interior prospect, the visual sequence in Wright's works attains the emotional climax at public space with other people : the terminals of architectural promenade in Le Corbusier's works appear in private space for personal contemplation.
