Abstract |
This study is started from the basis that the existing spatial acoustical parameters such as LF and IACC are not sufficient for explaining the spatial reflection behavior of room acoustics. Though methodological limitations are being gradually collapsed with rapid development of computers and digital processing techniques, most researchers are still stick to those classical parameters. This study aims to develop a new spatial acoustical parameter with digital signal processing technique, which enables to measure time delays, sound energies, and three dimensional directional components. With multiple microphones in the three dimensional array, it is possible that visualization of successive reflections and making image sources of those reflection sounds. A new room acoustical evaluation method is then composed with deliberate combinations of three parameters mentioned above, delay time, energy, and direction of reflection sounds. |
