Abstract |
This study aims at reducing cooling energy requirements by using mass cooling effects of floor slab. For the evaluation of mass cooling effects of different floor types, 4 types of floor construction have been described and analyzed using ESP-r simulation. Analysis has been conducted for 1) mass cooling effect, 2) effect of night-time ventilation, 3) cooling effect of hollow core at various air flow rates, and 4) cooling effect of hollow core combined with cool tube. The results show that the hollow core with cool tube system provides the comfort indoor conditions with minimum cooling energy requirements. |
