| Abstract |
In the history of architecture, the role of ornament holds a key post in the constitution of architectural value. L.B.Alberti established concept of ornament that was closely related to structure and his ornament played an important role in his aesthetic theory which is the essence of classicism. the purpose of this study is to find out the meaning of ornament and the actual application of architecture through the Alberti's aesthetic theory and to analyze the proportional relation between partial ornament and whole ornament through the Alberti's proportional theory. |
