Abstract Stable increasement of domestic construction since 1970's brought serious problem in supplying construction material in concrete, in particular, the fine aggregate. With the exhaustion of river sand which have been used as main resources of aggregate, the use of sea-sand is rapidly increasing. However, sea-sand without complete removal of salt cause corrosion of enbedded reinforcement. In addition, the deterioration of concrete quality arises a social problem in the durability of concrete structure. This study is aimed at providing the data for the basic design of corroded reinfored concrete structure by testing various corrosion level slab specimen. The results indicate that : ⅰ) it was possible to induce predetermined accelerated corrosion on method of reinforcing bars using external electrical energy source, ⅱ) the cover depth of tensile reinforcement is less than 1cm, crack due to the corrosion peeled off like a corn shape. on the other hand, large than 2cm, it occurred along reinforcing bars, ⅲ) as the corrosion rate is increased, flexural capacity of resistance and stiffness of specimen are decreased, ⅳ) in the stirrup exists in the beam, flexural resistance and capacity of beam was proportional to the corrosion level of reinforcing bars. It seemed that stirrups reduce the bond deterioration of specimens due to the confinement effect, ⅴ) equation of flexural capacity of flexural member which does not have stirrups with corrosion rate over 6% is suggested as follows,
