Abstract |
An effective tool to analyze causation and effect of construction delay is required for the construction industry which has many potential factors of disputes. As there isn't an effective tool, time extension of the construction project has been decided without proper analysis of construction delay. Therefore, these objectives of this study are to propose an effective and reasonable model to evaluate construction delay. To achieve these objectives, general conditions of the contract and the time impact analysis procedures are considered. The model consists of four steps. The first step is to make a baseline schedule based on sub-clauses in the general condition. The second step is to identify causation of construction delay. The third step is to make a fragnet and incorporate it into the baseline schedule and then, update. The fourth step is to analyze liability of the construction delay. |
