Abstract |
The aim of this study is to suggest the effective way of energy saving in buildings beside insulation of building envelope. Enforcing the insulation performance in building envelope get much effectiveness of energy saving, but more insulation above certain thickness has no good result economically. The analysis of energy consumption rate at 10 studied buildings show that outdoor air load by ventilation is 29.2% to 43.6% of total heating and cooling load which is the greatest portion compared with 1.2% to 4.7% of insulated outside faced wall. Ventilation rate can be reduced intentionally regardless of building envelope. Prohibiting the smoking in the air conditioned space causes to reduce the intaking outside air quantity and save energy of 29% to 46% in buildings. |
