| Abstract |
The increase the volume of railway traffic according to the national economic development has caused many complaints about the railway noise. Despite the enforced standard of the railway noise, we need to establish a new environmental standard of railway noise to secure a quieter environment in the residential area.
In this paper, we first investigate the general regulation of railway noise in domestic. Second, we make up question to investigate the attitude forward railway noise of residents beside railway, and analyze the questions in terms of the measured values of railway noise.
This study concludes that the residents nearby the railway was dissatisfied with the noise even though the measured value of railway noise is proven to be appropriate to the present regulations for railway noise. In addition, we need more consolidated environmental regulations for railway noise through various countermeasures to reduce the noise, considering the increasing desire to secure the righteous environment. |
