| Abstract |
Rebar work have made loss in manpower and materials from the prime cost because all routine work of ordering, processing and placing, are dependent on the experience of a skilled worker. So this study analyzed the problems of the rebar work in terms of calculating rebar quantity, layout plan, ordering and purchasing of materials and cutting and placing and proposed improvement. Moreover, on the base of the analysed result, we develope the bar-bending program which can minimize the loss of reinforcing bar by calculating the length of bar in processing stage. this program has been applied in several construction project and proved the high degree of efficiency. When this system of optimal application was applied, the loss went down under 2% with the use of varied length of rebar. It was 10% when only rebar of 8M was used. Therfore, this system can reduce the cost of rebar work. |
