Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the architectural education, license and registration of U.K., France, Germany, U.S.A. and Korea and to search into the restructuring direction of korean architectural education system. Education system, validation , architectural studio and practical training was examined for education. School number, enrolled and graduate students, licence per year was examined for license, and economic growth rate, construction industry index and registration number was for registration. The results of this study were as follows; education system is constituted with multi-phases, and license is not related with registration fluctuated to economic status but school and students number.
