Abstract |
The study is an attempt to explore user's preference of design elements for environmentally- friendly apartment housing in Korea. The purpose of the research is to suggest design guidelines for designing environmentally-friendly multi-family housing which has been regarded as an important design issue recently. The analysis of this study has been focused on the opinions of users on the environmentally-friendly multi-family housing and their preferences of importance of the design elements used. The design elements used in the survey were divided into unit design, building design and outdoor landscape environment. The 213 samples were analyzed by SPSS/PC windows. The results obtained through the analysis of the differences of these preferences between the two user groups in urban and suburban areas, have been discussed so that they can be applied in design strategies for environmentally-friendly apartment housing uniquely appropriate for each region. |
