Abstract |
After the revision of urban planning law in 2000, the existing urban design and detailed district plan system do not provide any practical guidelines for the application of the law. Therefore, it is necessary to examine realistic limits of actual conditions of index application by reflecting opinions in the process of establishing the district unit plan and to propose the better supplementary scheme in the event that the district plan system is applied to the urban planning. For that purpose, this research analyzed actual conditions in the process lf implementing the district unit plan for each case through the public opinion survey.
The findings are as followings; (1) The implementation plan needs to include indices relevant to human activity and urban environment; (2) The district unit plan need to develop practical guidelines in detail; (3) The application of plan requires active citizen participation and its provision for intervention; (4) The partnership between professional urban designer and civil servants are necessary at the initial stage of preparing plan draft. |
