Abstract As sustainable design technologies, sunlighting systems have been developed and applied on modern buildings. Among these systems, solar mirror sunlighting systems are very useful to apply for buildings in daytime use. This study aims to discuss the architectural application and develope the solar mirror systems suitable in our architectural environment. For the purpose, the extents and methods of solar mirror systems application were analyzed. And, solar sunlighting system consisted of two mirror glasses were developed and evaluated their efficiency. As results, the developed solar mirror sunlighting systems are valuable to solve the sunshine lack and penetrate efficient daylight into interior spaces. However, it is recommended to install a light reflecting systems such as light shelf to avoid glare and improve illumination distribution.
