Abstract |
This study aims to develop the reduction strategies of trainwind in subway stations. CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis using FLUENT was performed to calculate the air flow rate and to understand air movement characteristics, and the analysis results were verified with the field experiment results published in the journal of the AIK vol.18. no.1, "An experimental study on the air movement characteristics generated by trainwind in the subway tunnel and station".
The results of this study are summarized as follows. (1) Tunnel exhaust system plays a significant role in removing trainwind flowing into the station, and the removing rate is about 33% of overall trainwind rate. (2) The air velocity of station is lower than that of existing condition when the location of the tunnel exhaust system is moved close to the station. (3) Relief passage system can remove about 50% of overall entering trainwind.
Therefore, to reduce the trainwind entering the station, it is the most effective way to use the exhaust system before the trainwind flows into the station. |
