Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to investigate properties of durability of the concrete which contains Copper Smelting Slag(CSS) substituted as a fine aggregate according to different mixing ratio of CSS.
The test that included two slump-type was executed with changing the different mixing ratio of CSS substituted as a fine aggregate into 0, 25, 50, 75, 100%, and the results of this study are as follows;
1) The compressive strength of typeⅠ is increasing with aging until 56 days off such as a common pattern, but in case of type Ⅱ, its increase stops by 28 days.
In general, the strength promotion revealed by the substitution ratio 25~75% of CSS is higher than the case of substitution rate 0%(normal mixture), so it is judged that the application of CSS for mix design could be useful.
2) The depth of promoting neutralization seems to be not related with the increasing substitution ratio of CSS and decreasing in some cases.
The depth of promoting neutralization of type Ⅰ, Ⅱ is considerably increasing with increasing substitution ratio of CSS just in case of water-cement ratio of 65%, thus it is judged that the durability of concrete within CSS seems to be not matter, considering the use frequency of water-cement ratio of 65% in ready-mixed concrete.
The relation between compressive strength and neutralization depth seems to be inverse proportion such as a common pattern and there are not unique phenomena with using CSS. |
