An Influence of the Sociological Aspects on the Layout of Unit Plan of Housing : A Diachronic Study Especially on the German Multifamily Housing Units focussed on the Opening and Closing |
Abstract |
It is general course of phenomenon that housing reflexes diverse aspects of society, both in view of macro- and microtheory, especially social needs and its changes. The purpose of this study is to find concrete relationships between sociological backgrounds and layout of housing plans in regard of understanding historical development of planning since the industrial revolution. Taking this into account, typological analysis were carried out with regard to features of living space, dinning space, kitchen and floor in the german multifamily housing. This study is closely related with housing-sociological point of view. The social indicators employed are as follows; demographic changes, change of household structure and change of quantitative standards in the housing units. Inter-relationships among the above mentioned factors were interpreted, in view of the paradigms influencing on the architectural concept as well as needs and supply of housing. As a result, the sociological indicators and layout of unit showed significant causation. This study also intended to reason the developing tendence of housing plans with a view to working out social-oriented planning in the future. |
