Abstract This study is aimed at proposing calculation method of optimum boundary for decision maker in probabilistic phase of life cycle costing influence diagram. It also includes to show how to use the probabilistic phase of life cycle costing influence diagram as a calculation method of optimum boundary, and to reapply for validity of this method.
Life cycle costing influence diagram can bring us to make the most efficient decision through a visual graphical diagram that is shown relationship among variables and that decision maker traces easily from life cycle cost analysis situation. The feature of using a life cycle costing influence diagram on probabilistic phase is to obtain life cycle cost without recalculations in case that the value of the two more variables is changed under constraint that service life and discount rate are fixed.
The results of this study are as follows;
(1) A probabilistic phase of life cycle costing influence diagram can be available for decision maker as calculation method of optimum boundary.
(2) Optimum boundary(LCC15) obtained by calculation method of optimum boundary in probabilistic phase of life cycle costing influence diagram is consistent with the results of manual calculation method.
