Abstract Radiative heating system which uses hot water pipe in the floor has many advantage like high heat-efficiency. However there are many problems to solve such as drying shrinkage crack in cement mortar for floor-finishing and uneven temperature distribution and so on. Therefore, this paper is intended that expansive admixture and copper fiber in cement mortar for apartment housing floor reduce crack and increase the thermal conductivity. Tests are carried out by making mock up specimens in order to investigate thermal conductivity. According to the test, there's few variation in compressive strength and tensile strength when expensive admixture is added up to 9%, but they decrease significantly more than 9% of expansive admixture content, and increase in proportion to the content of copper fiber. While thermal conductivity decreases as the content of expansive admixture increases, it increases much in proportion to the content of copper fiber. Length change by drying shrinkage increases as the content of expansive admixture and copper fiber increases. According to the change in the kind of mock up test specimens of cement mortar for apartment housing floor, the range of temperature variation between upper hot water pipe and middle is smallest in copper fiber reinforced structure.
