Abstract |
Recently, the necessity of the LCC analysis has been recognized and it has been used in practice, but hardly used in VE at the design phase. The main reasons are due to the lack of proper methodology and reliable data. This paper examines the existing researches and the present use conditions for LCC analysis in VE, and from the examinations recognizes its problems. To overcome these problems, the LCC analysis process and some sheets for documentation were developed using partnering concept. The analysis process consisted of Levels 1, 2, and 3. The activities of Level 1 consisted of 'A1: Idea Analysis (Partnering Preparation),' 'A2: LCC Analysis Preparation (Partnering Workshop),' and 'A3: LCC Estimation and Evaluation.' Level 2 consisted of 8 activities with mixed Partnering Concept. Level 3 consisted of 23 activities as a real action. Some sheets were developed for documentation of the analysis. These are 'Partnering Workshop Agenda Sheet,' 'Needs and LCC Estimation Condition Sheet,' and 'LCC Model Sheet.' |
