| Abstract |
This study investigates the discourses of “Housing Improvement" in 『KaeByeok』 from 1920 to 1926. They are produced by “Culture Movement" advocates, whose main concern was in improvement of housing as a social residence from traditional to modern style, rather than spacial improvement of housing itself. So the discourses dealt with housing as a installation or a supplement for modernization of family life, and insisted on improving traditional housing to support modern life style. These situation are understood as unique character of housing improvement discourses of early 1920s as well as distinguished property from those produced by architects after mid 1920s. |
