Abstract |
This research has been carried out to improve the thermal comfort in a classroom under seven kinds of air diffusion angle for packaged type air conditioner. The velocity and temperature distributions of air in the classroom were calculated by 3-dimensional numerical method(PHOENICS). The present study was also conducted to calculate the Air Diffusion Performance Index(ADPI) for cooling thermal comforts and Predicted Percentage of issatisfied(PPD) for heating thermal comforts. As a result, this study shows that the optimum angle of diffusion is upward 45°for cooling mode and about upward 15~45°for heating mode in these calculating conditions. |
