| Abstract |
For the rational safety management of buildings, all information about structural design, construction, and maintenance in use of buildings should be managed systematically throughout the whole building life-cycle. This paper describes the design and implementation of a safety management information system for buildings. The working process of the building safety management is analyzed according to the related laws and regulations Then, this paper provides an object-oriented data model which can manage systematically not only safety management information but also structural design information. Finally, a prototype system based on the object model has been developed and provided. |
