Abstract |
This paper was aimed to evaluate the mechanical properties and chemical components of rolled steels for welded structure SM490 TMC using statistical technique. For the study, mill test certificates of SM490 TMC which were published during 1997.7~1999.8 by certain steel company in korea were used. Mechanical properties and chemical components were investigated with the maximums, minimums, means and standard deviations using regression and correlation analysis. Through estimating the distributions of the mechanical properties, material strength and distribution properties were found with various steel plates thickness. For the reliability of the mill test certificate values, the results of material test conducted by some university laboratories were compared with the values of the mill test certificates. As the result, distributions of tension strength showed small deviation, while yield strength and yield ratio have wide and large deviation according to the each plates thickness. To increase the reliance of the SM490 TMC plates, the upper limit of yield point was suggested based on the upper limit of yield ratio. |
