| Abstract |
Recently the traditional method for managing a construction task is being improved by the application of information technology (IT). Construction CALS is one of the representative methodologies for applying IT to the construction industry, and the business process reengineering (BPR) is a fundamental technology for reforming the traditional process method of a management task to the electronic process method under the construction CALS circumstance. This study suggests a BPR model to systematically perform BPR in the construction industry with three phases such as planning, execution and application of BPR. And this study also proposes an object related model as a new process modeling method that can be applied to redesign a construction business process. The applicability of proposed BPR model is verified by the application of practical construction business processes. |
