| Abstract |
Most of large construction firms already developed and utilized knowledge management system, but small and medium construction firms are very difficult to manage their information and knowledge because of urgent project order. The objective of this study is to develop the knowledge management model and the knowledge management prototype system in construction. As results of this study, we developed a knowledge management model for the construction industry. The model consists of EIP, EDMS, knowledge management, CoP and e-Learning. We developed the prototype system according to this model and applied it to small and medium construction engineering firm. We expect that results of this study will be used as a basis of implementing the information and knowledge management system for small and medium-sized engineering companies in order to manage project-related knowledge. |
