Abstract The prediction method of the time-dependent axial forces of shores using the Winkler foundation model is presented in this paper. Also, to examine the behavior of shores under actual construction conditions, a 3-story test frame was built in the construction site. And the long term behavior of shores and columns was measured. The results by proposed method are compared with the analysis results by the Midas GENw and the experimental data. The proposed method represents the time-dependent axial force variations well and shows a good agreement with the analysis results by the Midas GENw and experiment results. Test results revealed that axial forces of shores are gradually transferred to the reinforced concrete members as the time goes on. Proposed method can be applied to the any shoring system to predict the changes of shore forces of each floor.
