Abstract Recently, construction wastes are rapidly increased by booming of reconstruction and rehabilitation in Korea. However, some construction wastes tend to be illegally disposed owing to the lack of disposal cost. Therefore, the disposal cost for construction wastes should be fully appropriated in the construction project's budget. The purpose of this study is to calculate and present the normal disposal cost of construction wastes by using the quantity -per-unit costing method. The disposal cost is estimated by dividing into gathering, transportation, separation and recycling cost. As the labor and equipment cost, the reliable data published by the authorized agencies are used. From the trial calculation results, the separation and recycling cost is estimated at 10,740won/ton. Also, the gathering and transportation cost is estimated at 6,618won/ton on condition that transportation distance is approximately 30km.
