Abstract |
The objectives of the study are to get the basic architectural information, perspectives and directions of Welfare Centers for the Disabled in Korea, throughout the survey and analysis of Welfare Centers for the Disabled in Japan. The results of the study are as below; First, the rehabilitation centers in Japan are classified into two types, type-A (regional) and type-B (local), according to the range of covering area, the size and the service. The study presents the required space and the organization of spaces in both types. Second, there is a type-A center in every 3,100 thousand population and 100 thousand the disabled. there is a type-B center in every 60 thousand population and 20 thousand in Japan. Finally, the average area of normal type-A centers is 5,200㎡ and the average area of the smaller, which has the smaller sport facilities, is 3,100㎡. In type-B centers, the average area of the normal is 1,300㎡, and the other is the range of 450㎡ and 550㎡. |
