| Abstract |
During the Chosun Dynasty, the Confucianism-based architectures such as Hyangkyo, Seowon, Munmyo, Chongmyo, Kamyo, etc, were set up as in large numbers under the process of discipline of household, society, and state influenced by Confucianism. The objective of this study is to clarify the plan property of houses in Young-Nam province during the Chosun Dynasty. Institution of curtesy is a system of expression with a Sung Confucianism(the doctrines of Chu-tzu). It must be on the assumption that be in understanding with architecture. Sung Confucianism of Chosun was divided into Giho and Youngnam doctrinal faction. They differ greatly. Maybe, architectural propertydid shows the sort of doctrinal faction architecture is. The purpose of this study is therefore, to find out doctrinal faction property of the upper-class houses plan during the Chosun Dynasty. Doctrinal faction of Young-Nam had a thorough understanding of the construction of So-Hak(Children courtesy) and Ga-Rea(family courtesy). The plans of upper-class houses are analyze into its property of plans and times. |
