Abstract |
The purposes of this study are 1) to compare of housing pilotis through analysis of drawings and P.O.E., 2) to lead of desirable guidelines. In a preliminary study, I surveyed the consciousness of occupants and professionals. All of them agreed with the necessity of pilotis and suggested interconnection of circulations, visual openness, community and lounge as ideal usage of pilotis. The main contents of study are summarized as follows; 1) 5 housing estates are selected through stratified sampling, 2) Drawings are analyzed by means of AutoCAD2000 and Axman3.0(Space Syntax), 3) Cognition, usage, preference, degree of dwelling satisfaction, problem and etc. are examined through P.O.E., 4) Correlations between physical value and P.O.E. are taken, and desirable guidelines are suggested. I have realized that it is very efficient to adapt space syntax theory for improvement of dwelling satisfaction and usage. Especially, it is necessary to evaluate global integration and intelligibility in order to reduce the fear of crime. The clearer access and organization of space are the less the fear of crime is. |
